Step 1: Raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
Step 2: Identify the catalytic converter on the underside of the vehicle.
Step 3: Remove the oxygen sensors.
Step 4: Spray penetrating oil. Spray penetrating oil on the exhaust flange hardware and flanges.
Step 5: Prepare the suitable sockets or wrenches to remove the catalytic converter flange nuts or bolts.
Step 6: Install the new catalytic converter, and replace the exhaust flange gaskets to prevent exhaust leaks.
